| Customer Reviews: Great Item March 17, 2010 Dave Burson This is larger than most lights and lasers. But it is a great combo. I have it on a Beeman Mach 12.5 pellet gun. I had a smaller BSA light and it did not throw enough light. This one works great and the laser stays adjusted better than the smaller BSA. Great item for the money. You can spend more and get a better set up but for a pellet gun it is great.
Big honking laser! April 24, 2009 Garren E. Tooker 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Very feature rich setup. Both laser and flashlight come with the option of activation either by pressure switch or replacing the end-caps with a sealed push button operation. Mounts that come with laser allow either for a tactical ring that can mount on a 1" OD scope or alternatively on Weaver style rails. Laser is bright, and so far good for at least 100 yards (Some of the cheap lasers struggle at 50 yards I have noticed). Oh, and batteries are included! ;-)
The good news is that this combo is built like a tank... really strong and robust setup. Last thing I would ever worry about is either the laser or flashlight breaking because it was dropped or bumped. Units also are sealed with O-rings, which should provide ample weather resistance.
The "down side" is that this is a big honking laser. I mean, many of tactical lasers out there are about the size of a "C" cell battery. This unit is more in line with a small flashlight. I can comfortably wrap my palm around it, and I have big hands! LOL! Because it is big, it will also likewise add some additional weight to the weapon it is mounted on... point to consider. Also the tactical ring is beefy, which is good from the standpoint of it being sturdy, but might make for a challenge to mount on a smaller scope.
Overall, if one can find a scope or weapon to securely mount it to and doesn't mind the additional "heft" this combo will add, it will offer a good quality and sturdy combination.
