Excellent quality and easy to use. July 23, 2010 Mike 03a3 (Vienna, VA) I've played about a half dozen rounds with my new Bushnell Pro 1600 Slope and couldn't be happier! I wear glasses, but the adjustable eye shade and diopter adjustment make it a breeze to use. The pinseeker mode allows you to lock on to the pin almost instantly. It you just aim slightly to one side of the pin and then sweep across it, the 1600 locks right on to the pin distance and holds it. The view through the range finder is bright and clear, even with sunglasses on.
My home course has one par three built onto the side of the Blue Ridge, so it's a very steep angle from the tee boxes down to the green. The slope mode distance correction exactly matches my clubs, so I pick the club that matches the slope distance and it's right on.
All in all, I couldn't be happier with my choice.
One word of caution - if you play in tournaments that allow distance measuring equipment - DO NOT GET THE SLOPE MODEL! Get the 1600 Tour instead. The Slope model is illegal in tournament play. But if you're an avid weekend golfer like I am who doesn't play tournaments, the 1600 Slope with the pinseeker mode can't be beat.
Bushnell 1600 with slope June 29, 2010 H. T. Hulbert (Lewisville,NC) This product was everything that I had hoped for and more. I used to play in many USGA events, but no longer. I love the slope feature. I would highly recomment this product.
Solid unit! May 23, 2010 jhmr17 (Alexandria, VA) Great rangefinder! It takes a little getting used to in terms of holding it steady enough to get an accurate reading, but that's to be expected. If you play alot of courses where the sprinkler heads either are marker inconsistently, or, just never seem to be where you hit the ball, then this rangefinder is for you. The slope feature is not to be discounted--it's a handy feature that will come in handy more than you think. As most courses I play have the GPS distance feautres located on the golf carts themselves, I won't fear seeing the "no carts on fairways today" signs quite as much as I did previously; I'll always have an accurate distance no matter where I am on the course.
Bushnell Pro 1600 Slope Edition Laser Rangefinder with Pinseeker February 11, 2010 Grant Lovaasen 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Product was exactly what I expected at a far better price than in the retail stores. It's use takes a little bit of practice, but it is far handier than pacing off from yardage markers and trying to guess at where the pin is relative to the center of the green.
Great Product!!! February 1, 2010 BrutusMD (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am more than satisfied with this rangefinder. I must admit that I had some doubt about the usefulness of this product. I used it at some already familiar golf courses and I used it some Not so familiar coures. In both situations, I came to have a greater appreciation for my rangefinder. It's very accurate, more so that any other GPS or rangefinders I used in the past. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to all golfers. It's a little pricy, however.
