Tech Talk Objective Lens: The diameter of the objective or front lens. The larger the objective lens, the more light that enters the binocular, and the brighter the image. Field of View (F.O.V.): The side-to-side measurement of the circular viewing field or subject area. It is defined by the width in feet or meters of the area visible at 1000 yards or meters. A wide angle binocular features a wide field of view and is better for following action. Generally, the higher the magnification, the narrower the field of view. Roof Prism System: In roof prism binoculars the prisms overlap closely, allowing the objective lenses to line up directly with the eyepiece. The result is a slim, stream-lined shape in which the lenses and prisms are in a straight line.

A "Tiny" Bit Disappointed July 29, 2010 Michael J Goodfellow It actually does a decent job of magnifying for it's small size. I just didn't realize it was only going to be 3" x 4". I really was hoping for a typical, larger set of binoculars that don't feel like a toy.
Perfect for the light traveler July 29, 2010 Texi I ordered these binoculars for an Alaskan cruise, as every bit of travel advice I read said "bring binoculars!" I HATE being weighed down with stuff during excursions and sight-seeing, so I opted for the lightest, cheapest binocs I could find. These were great, so light and compact, like carrying a camera. And it was nice to have them just in case. When I did use them, it was very easy, and the view was pretty good. No complaints!
Perfect Fit July 25, 2010 Troy L. Williams (Graham, NC) Product arrived as described, absolute Best pair of Binoculars for my line of work. Came with carrying case and an attached small string. Fits perfect in my vest pocket and always have close at hand. Great Deal Everyone
Convenient and Inexpensive Binocular July 23, 2010 Wellington Su (San Diego, CA United States) Convenient and inexpensive for carrying in the pocket. I am more used to the larger poroprism type. The double hinge in the middle takes a little time to get used to it.
Excellent for My Limited Purposes July 12, 2010 John J. Stahl (Middletown, NJ) I bought these glasses in order to have a lightweight, easy-to-carry option to use at the race track. They are excellent for this purpose. From the grandstand I can clearly see the horses' numbers on the backstretch, a distance of about 500 yards.
